A note about casual hookups

The saying, “You can’t always get what you want,” is not just a title of a rolling stones song, but it also summarizes a typical person’s experience with casual hookups. Sure, you can hookup casually, register for free @ HookupOnline and you’re set..

That’s right, we can have sex with a good-looking stranger of the opposite sex with absolutely no strings attached. You don’t have to tipper. You don’t have to spend money. You don’t even have to go to her place or any of that bullshit. You can just meet at a certain place, go straight to a motel, and take care of business. It’s pretty straightforward, no bullshit.

Sounds awesome right? Well, not really. The problem is when you give somebody an inch, most people would typically try to look for something more. As awesome as casual hookups may seem, people are always looking for something more. Either they’re looking for some sort of super sexual athlete that would make them orgasm back to back for hours on end or they’re looking for somebody that looks like a completely and total stunner like Kate Upton. Do you see where I’m coming from?

Why can’t people just enjoy a free gift because it’s free? I mean, casual hookups are already quite a bit of a hook up. Just compare how people used to hookup for anonymous sex back in the bad old days. By the bad old days, I mean of course as recently as 10 years ago.

It doesn’t even compare. Back then, you would be lucky if you hooked up with a very fat unattractive chick with tons of tattoos and who slaps you around after sex. You would be very thankful for that. Now, you can hook up with somebody that looks like Ariana Grande and still complain that it wasn’t as good or she didn’t have a solid head game. Do you see what’s wrong here?

The problem with casual hookups does not have anything to do with websites that offered them. It has nothing to do with the technology powering these websites, or even the business models behind these online properties. The big problem is one of human expectations. We simply can’t get enough.
